- Firebase (Anonymous Users)
If you use the app without signing in, your notes, tasks, and saved addresses are stored anonymously in Firebase, a secure cloud database. This data is not linked to your personal identity, and we do not collect any personally identifiable information. - Google Drive (if enabled) – If you choose to sign in, we collect only your email and username—no password is required or stored. This is used solely to associate your notes and tasks with your account for a personalized experience.
- Please Note: As of now, the Google Drive backup feature is not active in the app. While the app may request access permissions, it does not perform any backup or access your Google Drive files. This feature is planned for a future update.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Your data (notes, tasks) is stored either locally, anonymously in Firebase (if unsigned), or backed up to your Google Drive (if signed in and backup enabled in future updates).
- We do not use your personal data for analytics or marketing purposes.
- All data remains private and is not accessed by us except for anonymous analytics and crash reporting .

- Data shared with Firebase or other third-party service providers is anonymous and aggregated, ensuring that your personal identity remains protected.
- Any data backup made via Google Drive is stored exclusively on your Google account, and we do not have access to it.
5. Third-Party Services Used
The SafarNote app uses certain third-party services to provide you with a better experience and to improve app performance.
First, we use Firebase by Google, which helps us collect anonymous analytics data. This allows us to understand how users interact with the app without collecting any personal information. Firebase also provides crash reporting and performance monitoring, which helps us identify and fix technical issues to keep the app running smoothly. All data collected through Firebase is anonymous and not linked to your identity.
Additionally, if you choose to sign in with your Google account, your notes and tasks can be backed up to Google Drive. This is an optional feature that securely stores your data in your own Google Drive account, allowing you to access your information from any device. We do not have access to this data, as it is stored exclusively on your Google account.
Please note that these third-party services have their own privacy policies and terms of service. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies to understand how your data is handled by these providers.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Delete individual notes and tasks directly within the app.
- Delete anonymous Firebase data by removing notes/tasks.
- Manually delete Google Drive backups by visiting your Google Drive and deleting SafarNote app data under “App Data” or “Backups”.
7. Data Deletion and Account Removal
You can delete your notes and tasks at any time. They will be permanently removed from:
- Firebase, if you use the app anonymously (without signing in), or
- Google Drive, if you use the Google account backup feature.
Please note that the app does not create full user accounts. Sign-in requires only a username and email for associating your data, without any password.
Currently, there is no option within the app to delete an entire account or all data at once.
