Last updated: August 27, 2025

Thank you for using SafarNote App. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and protect your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following data:

  • Local Storage
Your notes, tasks, and saved addresses are stored locally on your device. This data is private and not linked to any personal identity.
  • Google Drive (Optional Backup) – If you sign in with your Google account, your notes and tasks can be backed up to Google Drive. The app uses a Firebase UID to associate your Google account with your data. No passwords are collected or stored.

Please Note: Google Drive backups are stored in hidden “AppData” and cannot be deleted manually. To remove your backup, you must contact us.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Notes and tasks are stored locally or backed up to Google Drive if you sign in.
  • We do not use your personal data for analytics or marketing purposes.
  • All data remains private and is not accessed by us, except for anonymous analytics and crash reporting.

3. Types of Data Collected

SafarNote collects certain types of data to improve app performance and provide you with a better user experience. This data is collected anonymously and is not linked to your personal identity.

  • Analytics Data
    • We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous data about how users interact with the app. This includes information such as which features are used, session durations, and user engagement patterns.
This data helps us understand user behavior, identify trends, and make informed decisions to enhance the app’s functionality and usability.
No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected or shared as part of this data.
  • Crash Reports
    • We utilize Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports and error logs when the app encounters technical issues or crashes.
These crash reports contain technical details about the error but do not include any personal or sensitive user information.
Crash data helps us diagnose and fix bugs and improve the overall stability of the app.
  • App Interaction Data
    • We collect anonymous data on app interactions such as button clicks, screen views, and time spent on various sections of the app.
This information allows us to optimize the app’s design and workflow to make it more intuitive and user-friendly.
  • Personal Information
    • If you sign in with Google Drive, we collect your email and Firebase UID only to associate your notes and tasks for backup and sync. This data is not used for advertising or shared with third parties.

4. Data Sharing and Security

  • Notes stored locally remain private on your device.
  • Data shared with Firebase (analytics, crash reporting or other third-party service providers) is anonymous and aggregated, ensuring that your personal identity remains protected.
  • Any data backup made via Google Drive is stored exclusively on your Google account, and we do not have access to it.

5. Third-Party Services Used

The SafarNote app uses certain third-party services to provide you with a better experience and to improve app performance.

First, we use Firebase by Google, which helps us collect anonymous analytics data. This allows us to understand how users interact with the app without collecting any personal information. Firebase also provides crash reporting and performance monitoring, which helps us identify and fix technical issues to keep the app running smoothly. All data collected through Firebase is anonymous and not linked to your identity.

Additionally, if you choose to sign in with your Google account, your notes and tasks can be backed up to Google Drive. This is an optional feature that securely stores your data in your own Google Drive account, allowing you to access your information from any device. We do not have access to this data, as it is stored exclusively on your Google account.

Please note that these third-party services have their own privacy policies and terms of service. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies to understand how your data is handled by these providers.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete individual notes and tasks directly within the app.
  • Google Drive backups are stored in hidden “AppData” and cannot be deleted manually. To remove your backup, you must contact us, and we will delete it using your Firebase UID.

7. Data Deletion and Account Removal

  • Notes and tasks can be deleted at any time and will be removed from your device.
  • Google Drive backups require deletion by us. They are associated with your Firebase UID and stored in hidden AppData.
  • The app does not create full user accounts; only email and Firebase UID are used for backup.

Currently, there is no option within the app to delete an entire account or all data at once.

If you want to delete all your data—including all notes, tasks, and backups—please contact us at:
📧 inforumaji@gmail.com

We will manually process your request and delete your data as soon as possible.
